Actors are often MISDIRECTED WORKAHOLICS - obsessing over little things that dont matter...and avoiding the crucial work in their professional, personal, and artistic lives that do. Take your important tasks (the things you need to work on and get done in your acting, in your business, and in your personal life) and categorize them in importance: -A list of crucial must get done tasks; -B list of important but not as crucial work that needs to be done; -C list of least important and life-changing things that you need to work on. Now notice. Most of us OBSESS over the C list, BARELY TOUCH the B list, and AVOID AT ALL COSTS the A list. The reason is easy: the A TO DO list is usually full of what feels like daunting and overwhelming tasks. Its scary. So people invest all their time on the easily doable things and procrastinate the vital. GET EFFICIENT. Get working as an actor. Leave the C and B lists aside. Conquer your A list and get your career, your artistry, and your personal life WORKING! -Matthew Harrison actorsfoundry
