Acts 9:13-16 13 But Ananias answered, “Lord, I have heard from many about this man, how much evil he has done to your saints at Jerusalem. 14 And here he has authority from the chief priests to bind all who call on your name.” 15 But the Lord said to him, “Go, for he is a chosen instrument of mine to carry my name before the Gentiles and kings and the children of Israel. 16 For I will show him how much he must suffer for the sake of my name.” Ananias knew the voice of the Lord an responded to His calling, but when Jesus explained to him the details of his next mission, fear and doubt came into the picture. Ananias argues his concerns to the Lord but Jesus assures him that Paul is His chosen instrument to carry the Gospel to the Gentiles and kings and the children of Israel. Jesus has a way of calling us out of our comfort zone. Living on mission for Him was never meant to be easy, it requires faith! When we are faced with our fears and doubts, we are called to trust the words of Jesus and step out in faith! In Matthew 28 Jesus gives His disciples the great commission, to go and make disciples of all nations, and with the great calling he gives us a greater promise, that He would be with us always! Even to the end of the age. May we have the courage to follow the call of God on our lives to live on mission as we give our fears and our doubts to Jesus, who is with us forever! Matthew 28:19-20 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”
