Actually been doing research into rent and it seems that Canterbury seems to have the lowest rates but considering this is city known for its student population and it being a city, Im surprised. But if anything though, this city has a life of its own and whenever Im there its buzzing. Even after 7pm when I step out from Pitman Training on the main street, Im confronted by a city that never loses its momentum. Even though Im a raised Folkestone boy. the lure of a city like Canterbury really confounded my mind as a student. It still does. Even though Id happily to admit my roots are from Folkestone but Canterbury gave me good (and bad) memories over the years. But you know what though. I believe that seeing a Green MP elected there is a real possibility. However despite the value for money rent rates, Folkestone still is important to me as a place. I grew up there and despite not living there for over a decade, its occurred to me that blood is thicker than water. You never forget where you came from.
