Addendum to my last post: Chief Anthony Anenih is from Arrue; my Mums village in Uromi. We are somehow related. He knows my family very well. I will be meeting with him soon. I believe he understands that the dynamics of politics in todays Edo State, nay Nigeria, has changed. The era of godfathers imposing candidates are over. I believe he will see that I am the best candidate if PDP is to retain the Senatorial seat. Senator Odion Ugbesia has been a monumental failure and an embarrassment to Esan people. He has been occupying space in the Senate for 7 years! He has no chance of winning the election in 2015. Arc. Mike Onolememen is more interested in becoming the next Governor of Edo State in 2016. His chances are very good......if the Binis support him. And if Pastor Ize-Iyamu can be persuaded to concede his ambition to be Governor. Clifford Ordia has tried to get the PDP Senatorial ticket in the last two elections. He feels he is entitled to it since he beat Senator Ugbesia in the previous primaries but was compelled to concede to Chief Anenihs choice. I represent a New Righteous Order in Nigerias political terrain. As a professional Accountant who has been a business entrepreneur since 1998, I understand that Nigerias renaissance shall be achieved only by the emplacement of truly people-focused programmes which will ensure that we have the public utilities and infrastructures that encourage formation of private capital and the mass creation of employment through investments in micro, small and medium enterprises. I am a social democrat but my values are conservative and rooted in my strong Christian faith for which I have no apologies. I believe that Nigerias posterity can only be assured if we promote justice, truth, equity, good governance and the rule of law in our polity. As a Senator, I will champion legislation that will strengthen our war against corruption, ensure higher budgetary allocations to education and health, and promote fiscal federalism. I have no fears about my chances. PDP people are intelligent and politically savvy. More importantly, Esan people are enlightened and forward-thinking. :-D God bless Esan Land. Esan di fure!
