Addicts use... its what we do, and we do it very well! Were professionals at destroying our own lives, and everybody elses life around us! None of us asked to be this way, I can almost guarantee! I find it awkward that when people have an addict in their life, that they are shocked when that addict uses, and chaos starts breaking loose. This post is not an excuse to keep using, like some of us may take it, because the age old lie has been foiled! We are not responsible for our addiction, but we are responsible for our recovery! YES I said recovery. precisely... recovery is available! Addiction is a spiritual issue, not a moral deficiency, therefor requires a spiritual treatment. It involves being honest with yourself for once, and coming to terms with You cannot fix your own spiritual issue For the addict... let me help you off to a start. When you wake up in the morning (even if you dont have a concept of any power greater then yourself) Say thank you for waking me up this morning, and today I WILL use, if you dont help me. o and by the way who or what are you? (After all, you did not wake you up this morning) The burden of proof does not lie upon you, because that power greater then yourself has made it Its responsibility to reveal itself to you All you have to do is seek it. THERE IS HOPE! For the non addict, please do not put yourself through the heartache of being shocked when an addict uses. An addict not using is in an abnormal state.
