Additionally, you must try to avoid handshake. Alternative ways of greeting instead of handshake is to salute or wave a person. You can also raise both hands up with fingers interlocking as a form of greeting to avoid body contact. I entreat ministers and presiding elders to ensure that microphones are left on mic stands instead of people holding them in their hands. When using the microphone, we are advised not to bring it so close to the mouth. Kindly supervise regular disinfection of microphones and door handles before, during and after church services. Ministers and officers who often ask members to shake hands or hug one another, during church programmes, are requested to put a stop to such habit. Kindly authorize the installation of sanitizing dispensers or hand washing equipment at entrances or vantage points including urinals/lavatories within the church premises and encourage members of the congregation to use them before, during and after church services. Kindly make provision for protective hand gloves for officers or members who handle or count money. Furthermore, to avoid possible contamination and infection, all ministers and presiding elders are to ensure that enough communion cups are purchased so that each person can use one cup at a time during the communion service. The cups should be properly washed and sterilised before use in each service. Where possible, use disposable cups. Ministers and officers are entreated to wash their hands properly before administering the Lord’s Supper.
