So to mark the occasion heres a few statistics of we as an online community have achieved... Now with all those followers it would be nice to think we have achieved something positive over the last 12 months for all the local communities involved and here is a small taster thanks in part to local authorities and media publications who are known to monitor our pages... **LOST AND FOUND** 43 cats 32 dogs 15 mobile phones 10 bunches of keys 8 items of clothing 6 children!! 2 engagement rings 2 teddy bears 2 pairs of glasses 1 necklace 1 tortoise All returned to their rightful owners/parents Weve also promoted 35 charitable acts and events raising (collectively) in excess of £120,000!!! Prevented 1 case of illegal fly tipping which resulted in a criminal conviction Named and shamed 3 peadophiles 1 of which was later arrested and convicted Put a stop to a serial burglar by mobilising and rallying neighbourhood watch members on street patrol which later resulted in 2 criminal convictions Stopped 6 cases of further animal neglect Witnessed 2 cases of unbelievable generosity where members of the public have offered to personally replace stolen items of another member out of the kindness of their hearts All this as well as being the most up to date local traffic and accident notifier and local business promotor not to mention all the competitions and prizes kindly donated by our sponsors Steve Rox photography with his amazing photo shoots Beauty and beaus with their make up artistry & hair stylists Infinity building & landscaping (07866876767) with their £100 gift voucher And all this was achieved despite the fact these pages were initially set up as a place for light hearted banter and to air any grievances all in a way that allowed people to remain completely anonymous ......
