Administrative Assistant - Surmont Oil Sands Temporary 1 Year Contract Description ConocoPhillips Canada (CPC) is currently looking for an Administrative Assistant for a (1) year contract position. Reporting to the Office Manager and supporting the Field Leadership team, the successful candidate will ensure that each area within Operations is running effectively and efficiently through the delivery of data management, people management, office coordination, and planning and support activities. Responsibilities Support and comply with the policies, goals, efforts, and programs of CPCs Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Management System Ensure all receptionist and administration requirements for Surmont are maintained Run and complete expense reports and respond to accounting queries Provide timesheet input support and training to area operations staff Communicate with field support analyst, helpdesk, and business solutions Answer incoming calls and provide direction at the main the reception desk Purchase stationary and supplies and control inventory Act as Training Coordinator - provide support for contractor setup and access of training Event and meeting coordination and guided site tours Manage data storage and assist with document control Responsible for managing conference rooms and ensuring facilities are properly maintained Oversee the daily updates and maintenance of the Surmont site access list Support new hire administrative requirements for new employees and contractors Basic Qualifications High school diploma/GED; diploma or certificate in Business Administration preferred 2-4 years of administrative experience preferred in a fast paced, dynamic work environment Must be able to work a 14-day on 14-day off rotation, working 12 hours per day Must be able to commute from home or stay at camp during rotation Must be able to pass the pre-employment site access testing Preferred Qualifications Strong computer skills (MS products – Word; Excel ; Project; PowerPoint; Outlook) Good team player: ability to work with people of diverse disciplines, backgrounds and cultures Must be legally authorized to work in Canada on a regular full-time basis without restrictions Strong orientation for detail and ability to take the initiative as well as accept direction Must have an understanding of professional office procedures Please email any questions, or apply with your resume to RecruitmentCanada@cop before the closing date of January 23, 2015. *ConocoPhillips is an Equal Opportunity Employer
