IPSB College knows the right candidate to fill the Admissions Advisor position is one who has a positive and friendly demeanor, with a high level of interpersonal and communication skills. This person after all, will have to perform the following essential functions and responsibilities such as: • Answering and/or returning inquiry calls from persons interested in obtaining information about IPSB College programs and follow up with prospective students. The Enrollment Advisor will assess a prospective student’s needs and personal and professional goals to identify if IPSB College has the appropriate academic program, environment and services for the individual. • Develop leads into enrollments with a conversion rate of 18-25%. • Respond to all leads within one business day in accordance with IPSB admissions procedures. • Document all communication with prospective and active students; maintain consistent lead follow-up activities to achieve maximum possible enrollments; effectively convey benefits/features of IPSB College to prospect students; provide informative interviews and a presentation of IPSB’s curriculum, facilities and faculty; answers questions pertaining to enrollment procedures, tuition, class content, teaching methods; contribute to making students feel welcome and “at home” at IPSB; conduct 100% of interviews and tours in a professional/productive manner. • Meet enrollment goals on a quarterly basis. • Assist Admissions Coordinator with quarterly Open House activities. • Assist Admissions Coordinator in developing and maintaining relationships with area secondary schools and community colleges, as well as business and organizations; conduct off-site recruiting efforts through recruiting fairs, conferences, high school, military or community college visits. • Accurately enroll all new students, including completion of enrollment contracts, preparation of new student files, collection of enrollment documents, data entry in the student information system, scheduling of initial courses, issuing parking permits, and processing student payments, deposits, and fees. • Ensure an effective collaboration with academic advising and financial aid for smooth student transition into the school. The remaining sections of the Admission Advisor position description will be discussed during the interview process and this is the minimum level of abilities, an individual must have to be considered qualified for the position. (Work is performed in an office environment where heat, noise, and air pollution meet OSHA standards.) • Physical demands include normal standing, sitting, walking, squatting, and kneeling on a daily basis. • Sitting and/or standing may be for short or extended periods of time. • Communicate with individuals over the phone, email, voice messages, letters, etc. • Bending, squatting, kneeling, walking, standing (needed if filing, obtaining or stocking office supplies, • View data on a computer monitor for extended periods of time up to 100% of the work day. • Perform repetitive data entry using key-boards, ten-key pads and other office equipment. • Vertical and horizontal grasping, reaching, on a daily basis. • Able to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Educational Requirements: Associate’s degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred. Degree or massage therapy vocational certificate ideal.
