Advanced Apprentice IT Repair Technician vacancy in Aldermaston, Reading. Ideally you will have a minimum of 5 x GCSEs including Maths and English at Grade C or higher (or equivalent). DESCRIPTION: You will follow design or installation specifications to install and repair software, hardware, or peripheral equipment. You will also perform hardware repairs as a bench technician on ; desktop computers, laptops, servers, computer clusters and smartphones / mobile computing. You will also work with and occasionally repair a range of peripherals, including input devices (like keyboards, mice, and scanners), output devices (like displays, printers, and speakers), and data storage devices such as internal and external hard drives and disk arrays. You will be involved in system administration working with networking hardware, including routers, switches, fibre optics, and wireless networks HOURS: Working Week 37.5 hours, Mon-Fri, 9-5.30 pm.
