Advertisements are intended to be cute, touching, shocking, - TopicsExpress

Advertisements are intended to be cute, touching, shocking, erotic, or otherwise emotionally charged -- all for the purpose of stealing your precise minutes of your life. Corporations spend more than 100 billion dollars each year hiring clever, university-trained writers and artists who are tasked with creating a clever deception. You should be angry with advertising that uses emotional tricks to capture your eyeballs and brains. I get angry when I feel duped by a posting in FB that has the superficial appearance of a legitimate story, but is discovered to be a clever advertisement. Our lives are limited to a fixed number of minutes, and every ad on FB that gets shared, because its cute or touching, is theft of my time, that belongs to me. I own my eyeballs. They dont like to be subjected to devious machinery intended to capture my attention, for some rich person to profit.
