Advice Issued For: Panton Hill Fire Origin: 2KM NORTH KANGAROO GROUND Incident Name: KANGAROO GROUND - KOOS RD Issued: 16/01/14 4:59 PM This is an updated Advice message being issued by Country Fire Authority for Panton Hill. The fire at Kangaroo Ground has stayed within continment lines during today. Firefighters will continue to monitor and patrol the continement lines. In high risk bushfire areas the best option is to not be in the area when conditions are bad and with tomorrows Fire Danger Rating expected to be Severe, residents are reminded to stay vigilant and if you do choose to leave it is recommeded that you leave by 10am. Smoke may still be visible from nearby communties and roads. Dawson Road is open to local traffic only. Smoke may be visible from nearby communities and roads. The next update is expected by 17/01/14 10:30 AM or as the situation changes. Safety Information: Review your bushfire survival plan. If you do not have a plan, decide what you will do if the situation changes. If you have time check your neighbours to see if they are monitoring conditions.
