VISION - I am told Dr Yongi Choo pronounces the word "wishen"...one of the great visionaries of our time, leading one of the world s biggest churches, a cell leadership meeting only can feel two of our National Sports Stadium! Why am I on this tanget.... I just took a bath in the Ruya river in the Zambezi Valley, with birds chipping and making cat calls in the background. The African sun caressing my cold naked back. Established in 1961 by the Evangelical Church missionaries from USA it boasts one of the most thriving and most visited health facilities in Zimbabwe. They come from all over Zimbabwe, I met a 71year old kule coming from Kwekwe (alone for a catethic op), a family came from the Eastern Highlands for a diabetic op, we have been here since yesterday and already Alfred s wife has been attended to( Chitungwiza had demanded 2500usd for the op she needed for her broken leg...a freak accident!) I also took opportunity to seek medical attention for the stubborn cough I have have for over two weeks. I have been through all kinds of tests including treatment and antibiotics for less than 20usd. To think I havent seen one merc or one jag here...sorry for my doctor mates ( Dr Tinashe Mutikani, Dr Mathew Wazara, Dr Ed Chigaru, Dr Tinashe Munyaradzi). These "white" dudes are so humble, stumbling at learning our local language... Its a well kept institution, also housing a nurse training school and primary and secondary school. Thats "vision" sahwira...my pastor, Pst Tom Deuschle teaches, " What we do do now echoes in eternity!"... Jus wondering what is my legacy? As I wait for my free TB test(costs about 25usd in Harare and two days) I am just reflecting upon how important it is to have a lasting impact. Never really about you but up to you!
