Advice Issued For: Stawell, Black Range Fire Origin: 7KM SOUTH OF STAWELL Incident Name: STAWELL- BUNJILS CAVE ROAD Issued: 23/01/14 10:46 AM This Advice message is being issued by Department of Environment and Primary Industries for Stawell, Black Range. Firefighters have stopped the spread of the bushfire in the 7KM SOUTH OF STAWELL area and fire activity has subsided. There may be an increase in smoke in the area due to burning out operations being carried out. There is currently no threat to communities, but you should continue to stay informed and monitor conditions. Crews will continue to work strengthening containment lines over coming days. Fire may be visible from the Western Highway. Smoke will be visible from the Western Highway and nearby communities and roads. Motorists and residents are advised to take care whilst travelling. The next update is expected by 23/01/14 8:00 PM or as the situation changes. Safety Information: Review your bushfire survival plan. If you do not have a plan, decide what you will do if the situation changes. If you have time check your neighbours to see if they are monitoring conditions. If you are experiencing smoke exposure, seek medical advice or call Nurse on Call on 1300 606 024. Stay Informed: Via cfa.vic.gov.au.
