Advice Issued For: Stawell, Black Range Fire Origin: 7KM SOUTH OF STAWELL Incident Name: STAWELL- BUNJILS CAVE ROAD Issued: 24/01/14 10:02 AM This Advice message is being issued by Department of Environment and Primary Industries for Stawell, Black Range. Firefighters have stopped the spread of the bushfire in the 7KM SOUTH OF STAWELL area and fire activity has subsided. There is currently no threat to communities, but you should continue to stay informed and monitor conditions. Crews will continue to work strengthening containment lines over coming days. Smoke may be visible from the Western Highway and nearby communities and roads. Motorists and residents are advised to take care whilst travelling and obey Traffic Management signs. The next update is expected by 24/01/2014 7.00pm or as the situation changes. Safety Information: Review your bushfire survival plan. If you do not have a plan, decide what you will do if the situation changes. If you have time check your neighbours to see if they are monitoring conditions. If you are experiencing smoke exposure, seek medical advice or call Nurse on Call on 1300 606 024. Stay Informed: Via cfa.vic.gov.au. Tune to ABC Local Radio, commercial and designated community radio stations, or Sky News TV. Call the Victorian Bushfire Information Line (VBIL) on freecall 1800 240 667.
