Advice Please! Repost from Rachael My son is almost 12 months old, he was born with 2 Bones in his great toe and were planning on surgery to remove 1 in a couple weeks. Weve already discussed leaving it, but decided to do it or else it will affect walking, shoes, everything. So the dr plans on giving us pain meds for afterwards. Our son has never had any medication. I keep looking at Tylenol at the stores, but theyre all full of high fructose corn syrup and colors. Any suggestions on the most natural pain relief? Also, how can I detox him from the anesthesia? And finally, hes never been vaccinated either so hes never had a shot or needles. I was hoping to be able to nurse him while they administered the anesthesia but his stomach must be empty. How can I make this experience the least traumatic for him? Thanks and sorry for all the questions!
