Advice please... I have an adorable 1yr 7 month old boxer.. As a pup he was attacked on a few occasions ..only once needing my vet to look.. But no treatment needed.. Sadly this over the course has changed his personality.. He loves nothing more than to play with his friends of all breeds.. HOWEVER.. When another dog growls, shows aggression or unstable vibes.. My dog dives in first and pins the other dog down.. Today was the third time.. The other dog had been attacked previously and my dog saw something other than the want to play and growled and tried to pin it down.. The other dog was bigger and the owner tried to hit my dog with her lead ., I grabbed him firmly said NO and kept him on a lead.. I tried to talk to the other owner but she wouldnt .. Just called my dog nasty he isnt and Im offended by that.. My research tells me that dogs sort it out.. And one will submit.. (Often thats my dog) But with the new laws a neurotic dog owners.. WHAT CAN I DO? I sympathise with some dogs and my dog is strong.. Do always looks the bad one :(
