African American Women In Cinema We are very pleased to announce that our President, Terra Renee will be producing a special screening of the film entitled, Forced Marriage and panel discussion with filmmaker and representatives at the United Nations, honoring Womens History month. This film deal with the force marriage epidemic in developing countries. Young girls are forced against their will to apprehend to societal and culture values. Therefore it disrupts their childhood, forgo their rights and the opportunity for them to obtain an education and better their lives. The UN predicts there will be 140 million child brides globally by 2020. I am honored at the opportunity to continue to provide a voice for the voiceless and bring awareness, it is my hope that a serious dialogue can began to pave a way for an implementable solution, Terra Renee, President of African American Women In Cinema This program which is Presented by African Women for Good Governance and supported by the Commission on the Status of Womens 58th session and sponsored by The Brownstone will take place on March 17, 2014 at the United Nations, Hardin Room Church Center followed by a VIP Reception at The Brownstone.
