Africans visited Mexico before Christ. The Olmec king with Africoid facial features and which was discovered in 1858 at the Tes Zapotes archeological site in Mexican state of Veracruz is clear, unequivocable proof of the presence of Africans in Mexico and yet this fact was omitted from the Oakland Museum of California exhibit. This also shows Africans involvement in Mexican culture. In fact, African presence in Mexico dates back to the Olmec civilization around 1000 BCE.
