Afro Jazz singer Kearoma Rantao @KearomaRantao and rapper Zeus @ZeusGC have been nominated in the 2014 African Music Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) with 1st Award Ceremony slated to take place on July 26th, 2014 at the Eisemann CenterTexas, U.S.A. Kearoma has been nominated for Best Female Southern Africa while Zeus was nominated in two categories including Best Male Southern Africa and Best rap act. Kearoma faces a stiff competition in Best Southern Africa category. She is nominated alongside Lira (South Africa), Toya De Lazy (South Africa), Judy (Zambia), Zahara (South Africa) and Lizha James (Mozambique). In the Best Male Southern Africa, Zeus will battle against Aka (South Africa), Donald (South Africa), Slap Dee (Zambia), Khuli Chana (South Africa), Stunner (Zimbabwe) and Tha Dogg (Namibia). In the Best rap act category, the Champagne music hit maker faces stiff competition from Sarkodie (Ghana), AKA (South Africa), Olamide (Nigeria), Phyno (Nigeria), Octopizzo (Kenya) and M.anifest (Ghana). Both artists have been rising as they have few accolades in their award cabinet. Zeus has previously scooped the Channel O Music Award while Kearoma’s talent scooped multi awards locally.
