After 41 years in Washington, Thad Cochran has been completely changed by the system and made part of the DC establishment. When he spoke at an editorial board meeting of the Northeast Mississippi Daily Journal in the middle of the 2008 presidential election, he was asked about the upcoming presidential election. He praised Obama, telling the board, “I really like both the candidates very much and I thought we would be well served however the election comes out.” Well served however the election came out? Well served if Obama won? Seriously? An editor at the Daily Journal then asked Cochran, “But you don’t think — there seem to be some who think it will be a disaster for the country if Obama was elected — you don’t feel that way?” His response, found in the article below, will absolutely shock you.
