After 6 years of waiting its almost all over. Today Dustin Gran III was found guilty on all counts including Murder in the 1st Degree, for the brutal killing of my friend Krista Pike. Im saddened that I could not be in that courtroom when the verdict was read. I was only 16 when Krista was taken from us and she only 18. We had our whole lives ahead of us. We were going to marry into the military together, and be best friends for the rest of our lives. Then everything changed. Im 23 now and shes not here. I was hoping this trail could bring some closer. I wake up some days and I can swear she was just talking to me. And Im back there again, 16, unable to accept whats happened. I cant imagine what her family goes thru, what Tom saw. I hope today brought some peace to everyone. I wish I could be down there with everyone, to enjoy this victory for Krista that has taken far to long. I love and miss you hun, you will always be with me.
