After Easter I will be starting my research into the 1832 cholera - TopicsExpress

After Easter I will be starting my research into the 1832 cholera epidemic in Wantage in earnest. Most of the victims are buried in the churchyard, round the back by the vestry door in a cholera pit, although 3 were buried in Grove churchyard shortly before it was consecrated. Id be really grateful for any stories about this plague, or information about the Grove graves, or the House of Observation in Manor Road. In fact any information at all would be great... I have been wondering how isolated this outbreak was, and whether there were any others in neighbouring villages. Also I am on the lookout for old maps of Mill Street, and anything about water supplies for the Mill Street area. Thank you for reading this. Jx
