After I fed my horses this evening I walked back up to the arena; both of my mini-aussies were following right beside me and a toad hopped in front of us. I noticed both stopped to check it out but I walked on past not giving any thought to it. I grabbed one of my saddles off the fence and headed towards the tackroom. I walked back to grab the second saddle and my silly not - a - bad - bone in her body Jezziebell was still looking at this toad...The toad had not moved so it kind of looked like a rock on the ground. Jezziebell got low on her front end, started doing a wimpy little bark, and was pawing the ground like a PBR bull...just as Jezziebell decided she was bluffin and wanted to step away that toad jumped DEAD SMACK in between HER EYES and she yelped like she had just landed in a hornets nest. I laughed until I had tears rolling down my face. Moral of the Story: be careful who youre bluffin because they might feel froggy & JUMP!!
