After a Cloudy Start, Some Sun for your Sunday Afternoon SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB) — It is a cloudy start to your Sunday morning with a few sprinkles and light showers working through the region but once the showers move through the rest of the day is looking dry and even a bit brighter than what we saw yesterday. Clouds will hold tough during the morning into the first part of the afternoon but as the afternoon moves along we will see gradually increasing sunshine. Temperatures will top off today in the upper 70s to around 80 degrees. Tonight we can expect partly cloudy skies and another cool night with temperatures in the mid 50s. The new workweek starts off with abundant sunshine and seasonable highs in the lower 80s, but it looks like the heat and humidity will build starting on Tuesday with mostly sunny skies. Much of Wednesday will be dry but it will be hot and humid. Showers and thunderstorms are possible later on Wednesday and on Thursday as a cold front moves through the region. However, it appears that the front will move out and be replaced by high pressure just in time for Friday! First Warning Meteorologist Don Maher
