After a moving and memorable ceremony for my dad this afternoon during which he received long-overdue medals for his World War II service as a front-line medic. he, my brother Paul and I went to one of our favorite restaurants, The Creekview in Williamsville, which indeed has a creek view. What did my starving eyes spy was a delicacy one would only find on a menu in Western New York -- a fried baloney sandwich with onions and cheese. It went surprisingly well with my pinot grigio.
