After a quite week where we ran nothing at Killarney, we have only the one runner at the Curragh this afternoon. Ainippe has her second start in the Listed Irish Field Stakes over 5f. Only seven go to post here with The Great War the only colt involved.By all accounts the speed figures of Ainippes Naas victory are very impressive and the form seems strong and with natural improvement she could be very smart. In saying that its still a big step up going into stakes company and the rest of the field have much more experience under their belts and will prove a serious test. Since her win there was some interest in her from different quarters and thankfully Qatar Racing stepped in to buy her to stay in the yard. For that reason its very important for me that she keeps improving and justifies their decision to buy her. Anyway the long and the short of it is that Im very happy with my filly going into this race and for good or for bad we will all find out a bit more about her today. Hopefully for my nerves sake, its for good! HGD
