After a rather fun board meeting at EALING STUDIOS yesterday where one of the board members by proxy pissed all over Jonny Perseys floor, something I have kind of wanted to do myself at similar events over the years but then as I am not cute, black, 15 weeks old with a waggy tail I am not sure I could ever get away with it, I ventured forth to the Moviehouse Entertainment Christmas bash a the Alley Cat in Denmark Street. A couple of years ago I was at the said same event and upon leaving I was joined by a young woman who had had not met before. She had been in sales and we chatted up the stairs and out into the street. I stopped at the curb as a large double decker bus was driving fast down the road. She carried on looking at me and talking. I pulled her back just as the red omnibus was about to hit her. If I did not save her life I saved her from certain injury……..of course had I not been there in the first place she would not have been talking to me and noticed the bus herself. I later asked Gary Phillips and Mark Vennis who she was. They did not know. No one else seemed to know and I have never seen her since. Spooky. A bit like AN INSPECTOR CALLS. Did she ever exist in the first place ?! I was thus in some kind of festive Dickensian/ TALES OF THE UNEXPECTED surreal scenario but I never did work out what the moral lesson was I was supposed to learn.
