After a serious questioning of my childhood memories--as well as rethinking the assumption that some worlds never come together--I finally figured out that in the Italian version of Winnie the Pooh Ive been reading, the strange character called Isaia--Isaiah in English--is actually an inexplicable renaming of Eeyore. What connection exists between the Old Testament prophet and Milnes clinically depressed donkey remains far, far beyond my grasp--but it did provide for one hell of an ah-hah.
