After a very busy day yesterday and a relaxing night of watching the Hallmark Channel Christmas Movies, I am ready to face this Wonderful Wednesday .. going to work really hard on not making it a Wacky Wednesday! Its time for Devotions and Coffee before heading into the world of real estate (dont forget to give me a call if you are in the market for a new home or if you want to sell your existing home!) Lets start our Devotions by lifting our prayers of Thanksgiving to our loving Savior .. Thanking God for His love for each of us and for holding us tight during the trials and tribulations that we each face along our journey through life (it is such a great relief when we finally realize that we are never alone and that God is there to help us through anything we face). Praying for a day filled with good health, great success, considerate people, laughter and opportunities to share our Faith and Gods Love with those we meet. Todays Devotions: Spiritual Traps: Pessimism and Christianity dont mix. Why? Because Christians have every reason to be optimistic about life here on earth and life eternal. Sometimes, despite our trust in God, we may fall into the spiritual traps of worry, frustration, anxiety, or sheer exhaustion, and our hearts become heavy. Whats needed is plenty of rest, a large dose of perspective, and Gods healing touch, but not necessarily in that order. Today, lets make this promise to ourselves and keep it: vow to be a hope-filled Christian. Think optimistically about our life, our profession, and our future. Trust our hopes, not our fears. Take time to celebrate Gods glorious creation. And then, when weve filled our heart with hope and gladness, share our optimism with others. Theyll be better for it, and so will we. But not necessarily in that order. Why are you cast down, O my soul? And why are you disquieted within me? Hope in God; For I shall yet praise Him, The help of my countenance and my God. Psalm 42:11 .. Trusting and Keeping the Faith because I Believe!
