After about a decade of being closed, the library at Adaire Elementary School has just reopened this week! A priority for new Principal Anna Jenkins, the library is now staffed by an able aide, Sara Francis, who has put in many hours sorting, cleaning, and re-organizing. Friends of Adaire and Kindergarten parent Tuesday Chalmers, After School Leader for LEAP at the Fishtown branch of the Free Library, and Becky White Newgren are volunteering to guide and support the effort. Look forward to a grand-opening party sometime in the new year. In the meantime we have added library items to Adaires wish list (see below!) and are also looking into granting organizations and generous donors who want to give books, computers, a digital check-out system and/or even a librarian!
