After action report is as follows: The Newport Shipyard event was a huge success. Lots of cool people were there. Yacht chefs from all over were in attendance. We sampled our vegan/gluten-free chocolate chip cookies, minced seitan in wonton cups with green grapes and our new new new chowder. The chowder was the most talked about food sample at the event, so much so, I will be actively trying to create a Green Lotus product line. I will be making quarts of the chowder and dropping them off at grocery stores to see if anything happens(this is where I could use your help), yes, the new new new chowder is that good. It even has a new name! Better Than Clam Chowder:-) This might be something you want to purchased for the 4th of July! Any hoot, we also made a few new connections, one of which is very eager to see a Green Lotus Cafe in the Newport area! If next year isnt the year that Green Lotus Cafe doesnt hang the Chowderfest winners banner outside the Cafe, Ill eat my shorts:-)
