After all the awful stuff we see happening in Washington and feeling fed up with politicians in general, I have a good story about one of our own local people. Carolyn Crnich, Recorder, is an elected official and she is definitely a keeper. I was a new volunteer (can that be true, they give you money) at the voting precinct. Im glad it wasnt a big election because two of our us were brand new. But it was pretty easy. We had two trainings before the election, we received two handbooks to study before the elections, we had check lists for opening, operating during the day and for the evening closing. Nothing was left to chance. Obviously the information was generated by a person who actually had done it themselves. And I was impressed with the handling of the ballots. I only know of Carolyn Crnich because of my two days with the voting process. I dont know her politics or her reputation in the community. But I was delighted.
