After being at Canandaigua last night to watch some awesome racing I still cant believe what happened to our friend Kevin Jr. Ward. Kevin and his family are some of the most helpful, and caring people you will ever meet. Although I am quite a bit older than Kevin we pretty much grew up together at the kart races and his father and my father where friends before racing. When we where racing sprint cars with Jason Barney they decided that was the next step for budster as his family called him. We helped them with a few questions they had about sprints, but it didnt take Kevin long to figure it out. Man could Kevin run a cushion like the best of the best. When I decided to get back into karts, Kevin Sr said come up to the shop and bring a truck so that we did. They filled my truck to the top for me to go racing again for a very very little price. That was the people they are anything to help. At the first ess race at Utica this year, they stopped over to my sportsman and said man your not really going to race this thing are you it looks like a show car. Then I reminded them they where the ones who got me back into racing. After my win that night they where one of the first people to congratulate me. I have no words for what the Ward family must be going through. Rip Budster run that cushion upstairs.
