After college, Mr. Tucker and I joined forces with Dan Frieders, - TopicsExpress

After college, Mr. Tucker and I joined forces with Dan Frieders, brother of Sloth, and we formed a progressive, hard-rock trio. Dick attended Eastern Illinois University, where there was/is an Amish population. I had a vision of their brethren, Shakers and/or Quakers, in musical/religious fervor, and came up with the name, Throbbing Amish. TA did not make the final cut. Neither did Shatner, Mr. Tuckers most excellent offering. We ended up as SPOT. Here is a song from our demo. The first photos are from our press packet and were shot on a particularly frigid morning at Northwestern University in Chicago. The other photos are from a particularly memorable gig at a University of Iowa bar after which Dick drove his car through a parking structure gate and just kept driving all the way back to Joliet. We broke up after the last gig, for which Ive included the flyer, when our drummer absconded with our opening act. Mr. Tucker and I were simply too lazy to find a replacement and honestly, there was none to fill Dans shoes, so that was that. youtu.be/ZwFrbWplkOc
