After conducting many surveys, the reason for farmer’s reluctance in adopting Organic Farming is as under: The biggest reason concerns the Agro retail chain in Indian agriculture. Most of the distributors don’t have knowledge about Bio/Organic agriculture inputs and also they are mainly concerned about their profit. As a result, in the name of Bio-Organic products, they sell out-dated chemicals with huge margin and cheat farmers. Our poor & illiterate farmers accept these products due to their lack of knowledge about organic farming. Due to this, Soil fertility & Immunity against pest/disease attack is decreasing day by day. Ultimately our farmers don’t get good quality production and returns. To help the farmer community overcome this problem, we envisioned “NANI’S NATURALS”. As one of the steps towards our vision, we have been conducting ‘Organic Farming Awareness Program’. Through such programs we arrange meetings with farmers where we teach them about organic farming. More than 30 meetings at village level in just 1.5 months have been arranged. As of today, more than 300 farmers are happily using certified Organic agriculture inputs and this numbers is increasing day by day. I am very thankful to my young & energetic group members (Mrs. Nidhi Nayan Godhaviya , Mr. Haresh Godhaviya, Mr. Shailesh, Mr. Yogesh, Mr. Hemant, Mr. Vipul, Mr. Chiman) who have helped me a lot in conveying this message to the farmer community.
