After deciding to sell Perry earlier in the year and finding that I was unable to part with him I still find myself in the same predicament that I do not have the time for all of my 4 legged friends. As a compromise I have decided to try and find a suitable part loaner for him. Perry is a 4 year old Welsh Section D gelding that I have had since 6 months old and have broken myself last year. I have brought him on slowly and don’t get time to ride often so he is still green in some areas but in the main is working nicely in the school and is fab to hack out. He hacks out in company or alone (although likes to shout a lot on his own but has never done anything), I have cantered him in fields with other horses and he is never strong or silly and he is about as bombproof as a horse can be (due to my endless walking around the roads as a foal). He is great to handle in and out of the stable, loads perfectly etc. I am looking for someone who is competent in bringing on youngsters and wouldn’t be afraid to correct any cheeky behaviour, and who will have some fun with him. He has never done anything nasty or naughty but does go through nappy stages as with all babies that I have been nipping in the bud quickly. I think he would be a great jumping pony but I don’t have the bottle to teach him – I don’t like jumping. He is good enough to show if someone wanted to compete him (at their own cost). I am at the yard every day anyway as I have other horses but I only ride him about once a week if that so he would be available as many days as someone wanted and choice of days would be totally up to them. Financial contribution would be required depending on number of days. Stabled in Kirkham. Nr Preston, Lancashire If you want further information please send me a message.
