After enduring a fun-filled night of puppy vomit and bloody - TopicsExpress

After enduring a fun-filled night of puppy vomit and bloody bowels, I took Shadow in to see the vet this morning. We waited for over an hour before we were called back. Once in the exam room, the vet indicated that Shadow was a 11 wk old, half dachshund and half lab. He believed (based on her vitals) that before me, she probably never had a real home--and because of that--because no one thought much of her when they dropped her off in the middle of no where, to send her on her way with at least shots--she had come into contact with the parvo virus. Though she was given a 50/50 chance--because we caught it early--I cant help but feel bad about her, for her. I havent given up on her, but in still... It makes me want to severely stress to each and everyone of you: Please have your animals vaccinated. The cost is just under $20...and its far more cheaper than to deal with parvo treatments, or having to explain to your child why sometimes bad things happen.
