"After hearing all the evidence in the Zimmerman trial, I have changed my mind. He is . . . " This is a statement that I have not heard. No matter how open minded we think we might be we are quick to come to a conclusion about what we see before us even before all the facts are in. Last night Windi and I were watching a show about adoption and they were interviewing a family that had nine children (7 of which were adopted). I remember thinking that if I saw them in public and did not know them I might have the thought of "oh wow, have they ever heard of birth control???" But since I did know all of the facts I instead was thinking wow, what a selfless couple that wants to make a difference in someones life. We are so quick to judge people we see out in public, but rarely gather facts about what we see and sometimes even after facts are in we do not change our minds about how we feel. This is very unfortunate. I have been very guilty of this in the past, but hope to do better in the future. John 7:24 "Stop judging by mere appearances, and make a right judgment."
