After inserting his 18g IV, my pt said it was the first time that he dint feel anything during an iv insertion process. He went on to tell me how many surgeries hes had and how many times he had painful iv insertions. His wife seconded what he said. I went on w my work, making sure his chart will be ready also. I can hear them in the background taking photos. Then i heard my name. Lynn?! I looked up. It was his wife with an iphone on hand, ready to take my picture. I smiled. Click!
