(Nielsens 2014 tracking year ran from Dec. 30, 2013 through Dec. 28, 2014.) In the week ending Dec. 28, 1989 sold 326,000 copies, while Frozen moved 64,000, thus easily securing Swift the years top seller. Swifts 1989 leads the Top Album Sales chart for a seventh frame, thus, Swift has now spent a total of 31 weeks at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 with her four No. 1 albums. Among women, only Whitney Houston has racked up more No. 1 weeks, with 46. This is the SECOND TIME Swift has earned the top selling album of a calendar year. She did it previously back in 2009 with her second studio album, Fearless, which moved 3.22 million that year. Sam Smiths In the Lonely Hour is 2014s No. 3 seller (1.21 million), followed by Pentatonixs Thats Christmas To Me (1.14 million) 1989 is selling like no album has in the past 10 years. It has sold more than 200,000 copies in each of its first nine weeks on sale -- a feat not managed since the spring of 2004. Ushers Confessions was the last album to sell as consistent, moving more than 200,000 in each of its first nine frames (ending with the sales week of May 23, 2004).
