After looking for what seemed ages to get Soay sheep a little mini flock of ewe lambs showed up. Literally, I came home and found Soay in my back pen. My husband pulled these out of a poor situation, an abandoned barn in Surrey where the poor things had not been fed for a while and one litle girl had a horn recently broken off. A buddy had told us he wanted to board some rams he had purchased site unseen and well he was mighty disappointed they were all ewes and not even a breed good for market. Im so happy to have them. Were slowly getting them fattened up. They are curious and fairly friendly. Obviously not registered or even purebred perhaps, but they look Soay enough for me!
