After lunch, we visited the Thai Buddhist temple to pay our respects to our belated mum, who sadly passed away exactly a year ago on this day! ( for those who can remember my postings on my FB! ) 31st of August is also our Independence day and the same day as Princess Dianas death. My brother and his wife cooked a mighty assortment of delicious foods as Offerings to the deceased. ( according to our Chinese custom! ) After the prayers, the food went to a puppy and some stray dogs in the temple compound!
