After months (since April) of a mysterious hind end lameness Vita went off to Rood and Riddle last Monday for an MRI. What an amazing facility! On Tuesday they found an 8mm bone chip floating around behind her sesamoid bones (rare and impossible to see except for on an MRI), on Wednesday they removed it surgically and this is how great it looked today. This is actually the least swollen it has looked in months so I couldnt be happier. Now for the strength and patience to survive six weeks of stall rest... And a little luck that the problem is solved... Unfortunately after all the brushing and hand walking this summer Ive fallen completely in love with her naughty highness monster.
