After saying goodbye to our wonderful guide, Ann, we boarded the van in Xian and Arrived Guangzhou after midnight . It was a very very long day and our little dolls had fallen sound asleep on the plane and were still pretty groggy after we collected our bags. (They were pretending to be asleep on top of the bags. :) But they perked up as time went on . Especially when we saw a McDonalds in the airport!!!! The grownups had never gotten dinner - (we passed on the noodles at the airport but the girls loved them!) So midnight or not, we relished every bite of some very delectable McDonalds cheeseburgers! Mmmmmmm....sooooo good! Below another picture of the sweet lady at the hotel in Xian who helped calm Mias fears by assuring her in chinese that packing our suitcases didnt mean we were leaving her. It meant we are just moving 1 step closer to getting her home where shell be with us always. I didnt get a picture, but when Mia became frightened on the plane (her very first plane ride) another angel unaware came to the rescue...a male flight attendant. He couldnt have been more kind speaking chinese to her in such an assuring tone. Were thanking God tonight for all the angels He continues to send to us!
