After seeing a report on this from a source I wasnt sure about, I sought out more reliable sources. I had to stop reading the article below because it was making me sick to my stomach. The issue here should NOT be whether such torture methods were effective!! It should be about how low we are willing to sink, how willing we are to turn a blind eye on this reprehensible behavior. Please note that nowhere in this report does the CIA claim they didnt do these things! How can we, as a nation, hold our heads up in the international community when weve committed such atrocities? Why has it taken this long for this report to be released? Who ultimately gave the go-ahead for this kind of treatment of prisoners? And who was involved in keeping it all secret? I am sickened, saddened, and infuriated that MY country behaved in this manner, ignoring all kinds of treaties and agreements with the UN and other international bodies.
