After shelving my project while I was in Orlando Im happy to say the hidden blade contraption is complete now its time to start working on the bracer. The blade extends by gravity but I think I might leave one of the long screws on in case I want to be able to extend the blade manually. The blade stays extended by the bit of metal tied to a string. The metal catches on a groove in the blade and the string (which will be replaced by fishing wire and a key ring) releases the blade allowing the spring to retract it. I included a small video (used my phone I apologize for quality). Ill post again when I get the bracer finished.
