After six months of coughing, going to specialist after specialist. I go to this super specialist who asks me this genius question, "Has this cough affected your voice?" I want to ask him, "Do you really think I sound like this? And did you actually graduate from med school?" After numbing my nose and sticking this scope up my nostrils, he says" Well the back of your throat is really inflamed and your vocal cords are swollen." Um yeah, you had to stick this thing in my nose to tell me that. Finally, after droning on about what he suspecting, which eventually boils down to this, " You have a chronic cough of unclear etiology." Thanks. For nothing. Genius.
