After some thought I have decided to make an announcement on this public format... Recently my Mother was diagnosed with early stage Alzheimers. The reason I am announcing this on Facebook is for the fact that so many of my friends know and love my Mother. I feel that its important for any of you that might encounter her out somewhere to know what is going on, although, at this point it is unlikely for her symptoms to be overly obvious. I am directly involved with all of her doctors appointments, along with monitoring her day to day needs. I was finally able to get her on a medication to hopefully slow the progression, although I am told the benefits can be hard to gauge and unpredictable. Were going to wish for the best and I intend to keep her at home for as long as possible. Of course, we appreciate your thoughts and prayers.
