After standing in the Meat departments of 2 chain grocery stores - TopicsExpress

After standing in the Meat departments of 2 chain grocery stores and listenin the meat department staff misrepresent what they were selling I present the following PSA Prime is a grade of Meat not a cut So If you are paying 5.60 a pound for a standing rib roast ( which is the cut of meat that The meat departments have been referring to as prime Rib ) from a chain store , it is most likely USDA Grade Choice .. which is still tasty. and a good value but . IT. IS . NOT. PRIME . There IS a difference and it DOES matter in terms of taste and quality.. heres the downside . a 5 to 6 pound standing Rib Roast grade prime will set you you back around a 100 dollars or so ... WORTH EVERY PENNY ! Seriously ..this stuff makes my eye twitch like Clint Eastwoods in every which way but loose
